Mr Smith鈥檚 research focussed on investigating the influence of time on New Zealand athletes鈥� satisfaction response using the Athlete Satisfaction Questionnaire. A methodology was proposed which incorporated understanding the dynamics of both pre- and post-event athlete satisfaction. Mr Smith鈥檚 main contribution to knowledge highlighted the hierarchical differences in pre- and post-event athlete satisfaction between team and individual sport athletes. The findings provide a clear framework for significant others such as sport coaches to provide appropriate situation specific responses to athletes under competition pressure.
